[K3PZN-List] How would like your NewsWaves?

Al, Joe
there is another option that we should explore and that is attaching the
newletter to an email. The list should be fairly easy to maintain. In an
EMail program like Outlook, it is possible to setup groups so all you have
to do is pick the group "Newswaves" or whatever you call it; attach the PDF
and go. One transmittal. I unfortunately forget to pick it up at the Club
ste (it should still be posted there for many reasons) and considered going
back to snail mail just so I wouldn't forget. Having it Emailed to me would
put it right there in front of my face and give me the option to store it in
an Email folder, save the PDF outside of Email, print it or all of the
above. Now I can do most of those by downloading it from the web site, but
it would be more convenient (at least to me) to get it Emailed. This will
entail very little additional work once the list is setup.

PS ... Let me know if I can help.

Members,
I know that y'all are probably getting tired of me asking for things as far
as membership records are concerned, but Joe N3YIM and I have a small favor
to ask. We're gonna start using the member database to track how yuz guys
want to receive your copy of the NewsWaves.
Do you want to pull it off the website or have it mailed out to you via the
U.S. Postal Service? All that you have to do is drop me an e-mail and
simply put in the body either "Web" if you want to get it from the CCARC
website or "Mail" if you want it snail-mailed. That way, I can supply
Father Joe with mailing lables. Please save the club some bucks if you can
and pull the newsletter of the website UNLESS you don't have a PC and
Internet access.
On another note, the club roster and Officer/Committee Chairs listing is
always available to CCARC MEMBERS upon request. Please keep in mind that
two major changes are coming up for the "Who's Who" attached to the roster:
elected positions this month and committee chair appointments next month, so
you may want to hold off until after the April meeting to request a new
copy.
I will bring a limited number of printed rosters to the business meetings,
but these are reserved for those members who do not have
computer/e-mail/spreadhseet access.
As always, please let me know if you have any changes to your membership
information.
I'm sorry to say that our membership is on the decline, even though we have
been steadily welcoming new members. If you know someone who has drifted
away, try to get hold of them and find out why and see if you can bring them
back into the fold. If you know of any hams or folks that want to become
hams, give them a sales pitch for the club. Remember, we are one of the
largest Amateur Radio clubs in the MD/DC NVA/SPA area and we'd like to keep
it that way!
73,
Al K3ZE
Membership Chairman
