The Training and Education Committee has done an admirable job in preparing
candidates for the FCC license exams. The proof of that is all of the folks
who passed and became new Hams or upgraded their licenses. Not to long ago,
it came to our attention via the proverbial brick falling on the collective
heads of the T&EC that there was one very important facet of training and
eduction that we were NOT doing: aford new Hams in the club the opportunity
to lear the "how-to" art of Amateur Radio that, due to time constraints,
cannot be covered in the license prep courses. In the words of that Great
Philosopher, Earl Weaver, "It's what you learn AFTER you know it all that
counts."

So here's the deal. We will be holding "Bull Sessions" on the last Monday
of the month in the Club Station starting at 7:30pm. It will be an open,
come-and-go-as-you-please. The sessions are to answer your questions about
Amateur Radio. The sessions will be as open-ended and laid back as
possible. Bring a coffee or soft drink and your list of questions or
concerns, kick back, put your feet up and be prepared to have some fun!

The first session will be on March 29.

The Training & Education Committee
