HELLO EVERYONE;

HERE ARE THE MINUTES OF THE JUNE 04 MEETING.

CARROLL COUNTY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB MINUTES

Notes-General Meeting 6/14/04

Meeting began at 19:34.

There was an explanation of the details of the budget the Board has been 
working on to the general club population.

RACES drills have been put on hiatus until further notice.

The next general club meeting will be 7/12/04 at the FTC. Bruce 
Carpenter will be talking about grounding techniques.

The August general club meeting plans to have presentations of the FX5 
DXepedition.

There was no mail in the mailbag this month.

BPL failed in Manassas. Prospect Street Broadband is now looking for 
another partner since the city of Manassas has decided to drop the project.

N3TOT donated Power Poles to the Communications Van. N5LBJ donated a 
2m/440 dual band radio. Pete, W3GVX donated 500 feet of antenna rope for 
the Field Day competition.

The secretary’s report from the last meeting was approved by W3JJH and 
seconded by William, KB3GHE.

The treasurer’s report from the last meeting was approved by Keith, 
KB3HHK and seconded by Pat, N8PK.

The Board report was given by John, AK3Z.

The Budget was discussed in detail by Steve, N3SB. John, W3JJH made 
motion to approve it. The motion was seconded by William KB3GHE.

The Van committee report was given by Keith, KB3HHK. There will be a Van 
Committee meeting with Carroll County officials on Wednesday, 6/16/04.

Al, K3ZE gave the membership report.

Mike, N3VOP gave the digital committee report. The PSK31 net still meets 
on 50.290 at 20:30 EDT on Thursday evenings.

The hamfest committee report was given by Steve, N3SB and stated that 
most all bases were covered. Advertisers were contacted and flyers were 
given out and placed at as many events as possible.

New Club Business:

Doug, N5LBJ made a motion for the club to appropriate $20 for renewal of 
the ARRL travel + CD Rom:

“Appropriate $20 for the ARRL Travel & CD ROM renewal” Funds to come out 
of member services.

Doug, N5LBJ also made a motion for the club to “appropriate $150 in 
additional supplemental funds for Field Day activities, giving the 
chairman the authority to spend funds as required”. The motion was 
seconded by Chuck, N3TOT.

Al, K3ZE gave a Field Day progress report.

Meeting adjourned at 21:20 EDT.
