John,

Since I haven't had the chance to go indoor rock climbing in a long while
and I'm itching to go, I guess that this is the next best thing, huh? I'll
dig out the belt and the 'biners and see you there. Let's get that mother
in the air for the November Sweeps!

> Last weekend, Steve (N3SB), Jerry (N3GQK) and myself completed the first
> phase of our tower upgrade project. The old yagi has been removed along
> with the rotor. Existing plates in the top of the tower have been ground
> and drilled. 2 new thrust bearings have been installed. We also
installed
> a custom rotor base plate about 155 inches below the top. The old rotor
> has been sent in for servicing. We assembled the new quad antenna for
> UHF/VHF.
>
> This weekend (Sat and Sun) we need to do the following:
>
> 1. Raise our new telescoping masts to the tower top.
> 2. Install new (refurbed) rotor.
> 3. Install new triband vertical and quad on the mast.
> 4. Assemble new/used HF Yagi.
> 5. Install yagi on the new mast.
