HELLO ALL;

CORRECTIONS TO ASAP PLEASE, THANKS 73
JOE, N3YIM
CARROLL COUNTY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
The Board of Directors of the CCARC met on March 19th at the Fire
Training Center.
Vice President Chesley called the meeting to order at 1935 local.
Members present were, John AK3Z, Clint W3ARS, Bill N3WM, Joe N3YIM,
Jim K4CGY;
Also new board members elect, Keith KB3HHK and Doug N5LBJ.
John outlined the business for the evening.
Bill explained the financial bookkeeping system we use to the new
members and gave an update to the Treasurers report from the last meeting.
Joe reported that all TGF4 and Hamfest contracts have been signed,
with the AG center and B&B catering.
John reported for the station committee; Inrad filters have been
purchased from and individual and are in shipment to us; the committee
needs to restart the tower plate project, due to employment demands Bart
N0NYY has not been able to complete them; the UHF antenna problem has
still not been resolved with the manufacturer and John will contact them
this week; there was discussion about replacement of certain pieces of
radio equipment which will be discussed in detail later; there are
still several items that need to be purchased to complete this phase of
the station upgrade; Doug is going to Dayton and could possibly
purchase the required items at a reduced price; the station needs a good
cleaning and Doug volunteered to start that this week; John has opened
the station two evening a week for several weeks and the response from
the membership was very disappointing.
Clint announced a test session for March 20th at 8PM at the FTC; we
need to get a work detail soon to complete the installation of shelving
in the barn; Doug asked if the club had sponsored radio clubs in the
county schools?, of course we have not of late, perhaps we should
restart the idea; a special event station at the Town Mall during Field
Day week was suggested, we could demonstrate both UHF and HF.
Keith reported seeing a sign in Owings Mills where we could buy
several plastic with metal legs at what he believed was a reasonable
price; these would be for the TGF and Hamfest.
Doug asked why the club was having so much trouble getting into the
County Emergency Plan for communications; there seems to be a problem
with the right people at the county level interested in our help.
It was suggested that an antenna analyzer should be purchased by the
club for members use; will be tabled until a later date.
There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 2045 local.
SUBMITTED;
Joe Ebaugh, N3YIM Secretary
