Hamfest Cancelled for May 4th

It is official, by action of the Board of Directors of the Antietam =
Radio Association, the Hamfest, originally announced for May 4th at the =
Hagerstown Area Ag-Expo Center has been cancelled.

However, the ARA Board voted to move forward with plans to have a =
Hamfest again in the Spring of 2004 at the Ag Expo Center.

The hamfest was cancelled for a couple of reasons. First the Hamfest =
Chairman, N1FBI had a job change and relocated to Florida. Second there =
turned out to be a major problem in securing the facility for the =
desired date that the club thought had been secured. Rather than =
scramble to find a suitable date and reschedule for this year, the Board =
decided it would be in everyone's best interests to wait till next year =
to put on another quality event.
