Doug, 

i also copied WN4AMO but i had missed his QTH - we
obviously had some sporadic-E which you can't count
on, and this should be getting less as summer
progresses.  there are many more E-skip openings to FL
than any place else!  

i don't think attenuator ended up being a factor
because i heard nobody else. i was running 5 watts
with my K2, maybe next time i can run 50 mW of course
the others would have no chance!  

its not hard to find you on 10m so don't fret the QSY!
 i was surprised by your long cq as looking at a 2 kHz
band, as soon as you appeared on the waterfall i knew
it was you!

antenna pattern?  best way to test antenna on 10m is
to listen to the beacon on 28.295 and rotate the
antenna.
