The start date for the summer session of the Technician License Course has
been moved back a week to 7/27/03.  This was done in order to procure the
necessary training materials.  The required textbook for the course is the
ARRL's 5th Edition, 2003, "Now You're Talking".  Copies will be available at
the first class session.  We are able to purchase the books at 25% off the
cover price of $19.95 directly from the ARRL, so the student price is
$14.96.  We are trying to establish a program whereas students under 18
years of age would be refunded the cost of the textbook if they pass the FCC
exam at the test session immediately following the course.

The new schedule is:

Sundays & Thursdays 7:00pm to 9:00pm
7/27    Chapters 1 & 2 of "Now You're Talking" w/ Keith KB3HHK
7/31    Chapters 3 & 4                    w/ Al K3ZE
8/3      Chapters 5 & 6                      w/KeithKB3HHK
8/7      Chapters 7 & 8                  w/Al K3ZE
8/10    Chapters 9 & 10                   w/Keith KB3HHK
8/14    Review for FCC Exam               w/Al K3ZE
8/14    FCC Exam starts at 8:30pm      Clint W3ARS and his
VE crew*

*VE's please remember that if you have a son or daughter (or other relative)
present at a VE session, you cannot participate in the testing.
