Members,

I asked Dave Birdsley of B & B Embroidery to investigate a special
sweatshirt for us.  This pullover sweatshirt with a zip placard and denim
collar and elbow patches.  There is a 9" deep radio pocket on the right
breast.  You may have seen the local firefighters and paramedics wearing
this style.  Fire departments refer to them as "job shirts".  The standard
color is navy blue, but Dave informed me that they are available in a
variety of colors.

I asked Dave to estimate the cost for this sweatshirt with the club logo and
individuals callsign on the left breast, ARES logo (optional) on the right
breast, and "EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS" on the back. Choices of logos are
optional, of course.  The approximate price is $50.  Dave is sending me a
sample for inspection. Those of you who have ordered or seen the new CCARC
logo clubwear know what top quality work that B & B puts out. I will display
the sweatshirt at a future club meeting (perhaps May) and the club should
discuss the logo, colors, etc.  This may be of special interest to CARET
members.

I would like to get some idea of how many club members would be interested
in this item.  Please let me know via e-mail.  If we get enough orders
together, we can combine these sweatshirts with an order of other clubwear
items (jackets, tee-shirts, hats, etc.)  Please let me know soon so that I
can get rolling on this.
