Hey Al,

I have had similar experiences with Yaesu.  when I first started out 
that's all I had  one Yaesu at home and one in the car. I got so 
frustrated I got rid of both  and have run nothing but Icom since. I had a 
friend get the vx5r and I liked it  so I jumped and took a  chance on the 
vx7r. I love the little HH. and it to has changed my mind about Yaesu. I 
have since bought a mobile and am starting to sell some of my Icom stuff.
I guess like everyone else  they have some bad days !
