If you are an "Island Chaser" like I am, you'll be interested to know that
the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB) has issued the 11th Edition of
their "Islands On The Air" (IOTA) Directory.  It is available from the ARRL
(Order #8745) for $16.00. Undoubtedly, copies will start showing up at this
summers hamfests. This new edition appears in the Spring/Summer 2002 edition
of the ARRL Publications catalog.  However, their website still shows the
2000 edition.  You will need to secure a copy of the IOTA Directory if you
intend to apply for any of the awards (each book has a serial number that
must be submitted on the applications for awards).  Would you believe that
there are over 700 island entities with IOTA designations?

The book explains IOTA and its awards, how to make application for awards,
rules, and what constitutes an island entity.  The book is very well
cross-indexed with IOTA numbers, callsign prefixes, island names and island
groups.  IOTA also has a website that gives up-to-date information.

A very good book and a must have for Island Chasers and DX'ers.
