Greetings, All,
Well, in response to all the queries, Let's have a FOXHUNT!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing real fancy, just the basic Hide and seek.
Saturday Morning, February 22nd, about 9:00 AM.
Bring whatever gear you have, and I suggest we rendezvoux on the .410
repeater.
As there is lots of accessable high ground to the south and west of town,
I think that would be a good starting area.
I'll welcome any suggestions as well.
Bring:
Radios (2M)
Antennas (Beams are excellent, but not really required)
Any attenuators or other useful devices
MAP would be almost necessary,
and a compass might also help
Pencil,
Straight edge (ruler)
Binoculars can be quite useful too....
Nobody is required to have anything other than a radio, but the other
stuff is very helpful.
Since I do not know how many folks have RDF equipment of any type, I
expect to divide into groups, and let everyone have a chance to see how
it works.
I have a handheld Doppler, and can loan it out, Also, scanners that cover
the 2M band are useful too....
Again, this is not anything fancy or High-Tech, just a first time run to
have some fun, and learn some very basic technique.
If you can, drop me a line to let me know if you plan to participate,
[email protected]
If you arent sure, just call on the repeater when you can join in.

Bart
