Keep in mind Keith I believe York, PA is under the jurisdiction of Mt.
Holly NJ which is a different NWS office then LWX in Sterling, VA. Which
means they will have different procedures and reporting information. I
tried to get a Skywarn class going for Carroll, Frederick, Washington
and Loudon counties but there was not much interest or at least nobody
got back to me to say they wanted to have one. Also if anyone is
interested the quarterly Skywarn Advisory meeting will be on Sunday
March 3 at 2pm at the NWS office in Sterling, VA. It is a great way to
learn the technical nuts and bolts of how Skywarn nets are activated and
how they are worked. I plan on being there. If you ever want to be an
NCS for a Skywarn activation I highly recommend it.
