Hi Keith & Eric,
Jim WX3B and Phil KE3FL gave you very good
information. However some incorrect info sneaked in
there. Jim should know better--listen Jim--- FD is
always the fourth full weekend in June, NOT the last
weekend. Now usually the fourth weekend is the last
but not this year. FD is June 22-23. Just kidding Jim
I've done it myself in past years.
Now Phil gave some slightly incorrect info but only
because he, and I suspect quite a few others, haven't
read this years rules. I suggest that all down load
and read before FD.
http://www2.arrl.org/contests/rules/2002/rules-fd-2002.html
I will quote "Field Day is open to all amateurs in
the areas covered by the ARRL/RAD Field Organizations
AND COUNTRIES WITHIN IARU REGION 2. DX stations
residing in other regions may be contacted for credit
but are not eligible to submit entries".
This means that this year in addition to Canada FD
is open to all station in South & Central America and
Greenland and even the South Pole. Should make for a
lot more contacts. The LU's are very numerous during
contest as well as other SA stations.
It would also help if you become familar with the
contest logging program that we use. This is called
CT. An older, unlicensed version may be downloaded
from several sites or email one of us and we can copy
last years version for you to use for practice.
Make plans to attend any FD planning sessions.
   You will have fun!

                       73
                      Jim K4CGY
