 - MS Walk is scheduled for Saturday April 20th, starting around 10AM
   please show up at the Farm Museum in Westminster by around 9AM for
   set-up and assignments. Please contact: WX3F & let him know you
   are planning to help out. Remember, if you are an ARES/RACES member
   you have given your word that you will train at events like this
   every year! It's always a good time and there's always free food!

 - KE3FL: If you are a member of the CARET (Carroll Amateur Radio
   Emergency Team) - ARES/RACES it is time to renew. You can do so on
   -line at: http://www.qsl.net/caret find: [On-Line Form] and click
   on it, fill out the form & submit it. If you are a member we only
   need any changes AND your name /call-sign. If you are new please
   fill out the entire form.

   - The get the new CARET DISK with web-browser searchable database
     please see me at a club meeting or send me an email and I'll
     either send you a ZIP file or mail you a disk.
   - We do need a picture of you for the database, please see me at a
     club meeting so I can take your picture. (If I ever manage to
     remember my digital!)
   - The county could use this new database on a lap-top computer at
     an emergency site to confirm your membership before allowing you
     on site. (Real picture-positive ID is now available!)
   - UPDATES: caret.txt the database as of 4/15/2002
              all doc/*.doc files have been converted to *.htm files

 The National Conference of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators' Question
 Pool Committee has released a revised and expanded Amateur Extra
 class (Element 4) question pool into the public domain.  The new
 question pool becomes effective July 1, 2002, and must be used to
 generate all Extra class written examinations administered on or
 after that date.  It replaces the Extra class question pool released
 April 15, 2000--the day Amateur Radio "restructuring" became
 effective. Now 806 questions to choose 50 out of.

The MARC Club will present an upgrade course for the General Class
license. The class will meet on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM from
April 25 -- May 30 at Gaithersburg High School.  Exams will be held
