Early Saturday morning, around 9 Eastern, 1300Z, some hams in Colorado US
are going to try bouncing a 1296 mHz signal off of the planet Venus, to be
heard about 15 minutes later hopefully by other hams in the Netherlands and
Germany. That's almost 42 million KM each way.

The rest of this post is from the group in Colorado:

"Tomorrow we will be doing our Earth Venus Earth attempt experiment. We
will be live on Zoom if you want to drop in to see what we are doing. We
should have a camera on the control room.

We will be running 1500 watts to the feed of the 60'foot dish tracking Venus
as it rises. We will be starting our transmission at 7:00 am local (13:00
UTC) and folks in the Netherlands at Dwingeloo and Germany in Stockert will
be listening for us on even larger dish antennas (25 meter).

Paul Sobon is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
