With the various solar generators you do have the ability to run straight DC from them without needing to activate the inverter. It’s just a bonus to be able to involve an inverter should it be needed.
I have 1 PROGENY that is small and easy to carry 300 Watt hr
and. BLUETTI that is more than 1 person would want to carry, expandable even had 30 amp plug too. 2400 Watt

Although running an amateur station off of a 12 volt power supply, connected to an inverter, connected to a battery, just doesn't make sense to me. Too many conversion from AC to DC to AC back to DC. Seems like a lot of loss to me.

It's nice because, the 70 amp power supply runs the rigs. When commercial power drops out, the batteries instantly take over. I have been in the middle of on air transmissions when the commercial power dropped out and no one even noticed.

So, I'll need both a 12 VDC backup source and an inverted AC power source to keep the station up and running in it's current configuration. I'm considering connecting a bioenneo battery with a power gate to the currently in use 70 amp 12 volt power supply. I would then also have to connect an inverter to provide back up power to the battery as well in order to power the AC powered gear.
