Who is going to be there?

Out of the 40 plus members of this non profit, all volunteer run organization we call CARA. Who will stop by this year's field day. On the schedule since last year, June of 2023. Field Day, is part contest, part social event, part picnic, part camp out and a whole lot of fun!

This year only a hand full of  dedicated members of the Calvert Amateur Radio Association, have organized the 2024 ARRL Field Day at Broomes Island Community Center in, you guessed it Broomes Island. Gather up the family, grab a neighbor, wrangle a relative and come on by. Stay for a little bit, stay all day, stay overnight if you like. Help set up, get on the air, make some contacts, or just hang out, learn some thing new, make a new in person friend. Stop by if for no other reason than just long enough to get that Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok or Youtube photo to post, so all of your 'digital' friends know that you did something on Saturday by going to field day. 

Are you Hungry? You know you will be. Join us at 5pm for a potluck dinner and enjoy some of the best home cooked food in Calvert County. Bring along a dish, or dessert, or even drinks if you like.

Not Hungry? No problem stop by Sunday morning and help the small hand full of dedicated CARA members take stuff down, pack things up, or mop up the floor, maybe even take out the trash. If nothing else stop by just to tell the others that they're not doing it right.  At least if your there you'll hear all of the gritty details about the wild overnight pajama party.
