EOC SIMPLEX TEST RESULTS:

On Tuesday June 18th 2024. Eric KC3QQD and Shawn N3AE held a Simplex FM net from the RACES radio operating position at the Emergency Operation Center. The performance of the RACES radios system is impressive. You can see the list of check ins, including a map that covers a lot of miles. AUX COMM MEETING NOTES:

On Thursday June 20th 2024. Only seven, yep just seven members attended the AUX COMM meeting. Shawn N3AE went over how the RACES Radio system works and how to use it in times of an Emergency. Shawn also demonstrated how to use WinLink data messaging software over RF. All of the diagrams and screen views were displayed on the EOC's video wall, making it very easy for those few in attendance to follow along.  Those who attended learned some valuable information about the RACES radio system and how to use it. Important skills to have when Calvert County asks for amateur radio help.
