Thanks for the fiscal responsibility, Good luck with the test. Bill, will you activate the Echolink node?I had a minor medical issue and didn't leave home until Saturday. On antibiotics for a week. Made it to the Clam Festival at Yarmouth Maine around noon Sunday. Running APRS tracking KB3RAN-9. The music, lobstah and strawberry rhubarb pie were all good. Currently sitting at Chevy service getting strange under hood noise diagnosed. Plan to start oceanside camping soon. 73Dave KB3RAN Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy Tablet
-------- Original message --------From: Steve and Deborah Hempling <hempling at comcast.net> Date: 7/22/19 11:59 (GMT-05:00) To: Calvert Amateur Radio Association - K3CAL <k3cal at mailman.qth.net> Subject: [K3CAL] Repeater update Hi All! At our last meeting we voted to spend about $3000 + to climb the Prince Frederick Tower and install the two antennas that we have already purchased. At a meeting with the Repeater Committee and the Repeater Working committee at Mt Hope last Friday, we decided as a group to temporarily not spend the money and try an alternative idea to provide better coverage for the County... As a result we will be doing some further testing on the 2nd of August to confirm whether our ideas will work, prior to spending the bulk of our club's assets. We will be deploying our people at Prince Frederick tower site and Mt Hope tower site to do the testing and this will coincide with the 146.985 machine being off the air temporarily while we work.... Hopefully it will be back on the air later the 2nd of August. You are welcome to monitor the frequency, and assist as necessary. Plans are to work in the morning and tests should be underway at around 10:00 AM. Thanks for your support! We hope to make the coverage better to support our members and the County! Just wanted to keep the members informed. Thanks! Steve N3IPN
