ALL ABOUT ANTENNAS ... Saturday, July 27, 2019  For HAMs interested in building, mounting, repairing, testing, or just learning new techniques on antennas, Columbia ARA - K3CUJ - Columbia, MD is having another Antenna Party on Saturday, July 27.  If interested, please RSVP TO KS3O at columbiaara.org or message their FB page, so they know who/how many are coming and can plan for assisting with particular interests.Columbia ARA - K3CUJ - Columbia, MDJuly 10 at 8:06 PM · We are planning another antenna party in Ellicott City on Saturday, July 27, starting at 10:00AM. One activity will be to exercise the club's bow and arrow that can shoot fishing line over tree branches. This is an opportunity to learn how this device is used, for people who may want to put up an antenna using a tree, or for temporary operating events.We have not tried this before, so if anyone who has experience would be welcome. We also plan to assemble, test, and adjust an offset fed dipole
 antenna, probably for 40 meters. This could have mounting advantages in a temporary field environment over one with the feed in the middle. If anyone has an antenna he/she wants to check out, we will have instruments and ways of hoisting the antenna. And with the antennas up, it would also be possible for anyone to check out a radio.
