[K3CAL] Experimenting with 9600-baud APRS

Actually, I'd just like to have some Calvert ops get together on 1200 AX-25 packet for a net, either unprotected mode or multi-connect before we start playing with 9600. Seems we spend too much energy aiming for a moon shot before we even have the ability to get into orbit.

Subject: [K3CAL] Experimenting with 9600-baud APRS
I was talking with a friend back in NC about experimenting with
9600-baud APRS. There might be some benefits of using the higher baud
rate but there are also some drawbacks that come to mind.
I was thinking about something along the lines of Bob's (WB4APR)
Ultimate APRS digipeater[0]. We don't have enough hardware to add the
144.990MHz receiver but I think I can pull enough stuff together to add
a UHF frequency to the digipeater temporarily to experiment with.
Anyone interested?
