[K3CAL] January Meeting Minutes - REV 5!!!

Mr. President

Since I will not be able to make the next meeting on bylaws and
Constitution. I would like my opinion noted that the new chairman for the
repeater committee. Is also the vice president and in charge of Ares for
Calvert County. Please read the duties in the bylaws for the vice president.
Cara is a standalone organization therefore I think this is a conflict of
interests if not it certainly gives that appearance. The repeater belong to
CARA and the members not to Ares not too Races.

PS our Constitution states that we will support ARES and RACES not become

Many of the members, including myself, have been engaging in a round robin
discussion of their interpretation of the by-laws. Because this is such an
important issue, where we need to reach agreement, I have decided to make
the discussion of the by-laws and the constitution the main order of
business at the next general meeting on February 4th.

We need to table this discussion through e-mail now. The last version of the
minutes sent by Ron Byzet this morning. on January 28th, are the final
official version for January.

Please bring your written thoughts and comments to the February 4th meeting.
Your written comments are not for publication, but just to keep us on track
during the meeting.

I very much appreciate your passion in keeping CARA on the right track.
