Thanks for bringing up the subject of the Yaesu FTM 400 the club owns. As we
all know and if you can remember Bob N3PPH put a lot of hard work. Writing
the justifications to Yaesu. Ordering new equipment, program units and get
it to work. He did testing, installed it and replaced the old Motorola MSR
2000 Repeater. Since the Association does not need a nether 2/440 radio I
think it would be nice if you could bring it up at a meeting to make a
motion to give the FTM 440 to Bob N3PPH for all his hard work and making us
a better club. With three repeaters with controllers. As you know Bob is
handicap and is not working also his wife is recently been without work. You
know if it wasn't for Bob and yourself we would not have these radios.

Great idea. The club owns a FT-1D and a FTM-400. Perhaps we could use
those with your quest? I know I haven't played with the FTM-400 enough to
truly understand how the APRS works on that radio. I've not been happy with
the APRS implementation on the FT-1D, when compared to the Kenwoods, but
perhaps much of that is due to lack of regular use.
