Thanks, Jim for the reply. I have heard PA rarely. But I was hearing Steve and Ron on the air on 440 in the afternoon but couldn't get them to hear me. But Ron was reporting hearing my kerchunk but not my voice. Maybe the squelch level isn't right??

I'll be off the repeater and on to APRS for a while. Heading out of this heat for a while.

The repeater in the Mt. Hope shelter is working as usual. I have only heard a cw id so far. Don't get discouraged at lack of response as I haven't had much luck raising a QSO on this repeater during the day for quite a long time. Looks like since most of the day users are not using the repeater these days, lots of part-time and occasional mobile users have gone to repeaters with traffic on them. (Ya think?)

As for the 70cm repeater in PF good luck, PF had fair coverage to Huntingtown, and better to the south and south west, and west. North east was null since the installation. I heard nothing all morning, and started listening around 09:00 as requested. So I can only say to my area there has been no improvement in range, and that really wasn't the purpose of the test anyway. The only way North Beach will be heard on the PF repeater is when the linking system is completed. That has started, but will take some time to complete, have patience, it will get done!

Sorry you are thinking you cant hit Mt.Hope......you should be, but conditions have been very poor lately at times, if someone is using the repeater with the proper tone, when they unkey, the PA repeater on our frequency is coming through until the repeater drops. Good thing they are not using our pl tone, it would be quite messy.
Have a great HOT Day!

I have attempted to call on the 2 mtr and the 440 machines since 10AM and have not been able to be heard. Unacceptable. Sorry, I have called from my base station and my mobile with no contact. I hear the kerchunk and reports that I am there but no audio. Hope the PF repeater can do better than this on a regular basis. And it's also worrisome that I can't hit the Sunderland machine either since I have been using it reliably for the past couple of months as on Monday night net and talking with others at other times. Is it weather? Antenna? Mine? Yours?
