Hi Chuck! Steve here... I tried an Icom deskmike with that radio too... and same problem... did I give you the two Icom microphones I had to you when I gave you the radio??   A hand Mike and a SM6(??) Desk Mike??   Also Ed of Ed and Monica has the old radio of Woodies that your asking about... I am in Atlanta now...but will be back Monday PM... thanks immensely for playing with the Icom....Steve N3IPN
