Sorry about the delay with this. Things have been hectic at work and it
slipped my mind.

If anyone is bringing a computer to field day, you can set it up in
advance by following the directions below:

To set up the software to use a central server:

0. Load the software on the computer, following the prompts.
(You can get the software from me or download it from the
internet,
         http://n3fjp.com/programs/FIELDDAY.exe )

1. On the N3FJP software, open the network page by selecting
"Network" from the menu at the top.

2. Give your computer a name in the "This Station's Name" box. Call
sign is ok, just make it unique.

3. In the "Server Name or IP:" box, put "logging-server" without the
quotes.

4. In the bottom right corner of the page, click the TCP radio button.

5. Click the "Done" button.

After you do this, the status will tell you who's using what band and is
on line.

To make the software "legal", click on Settings -- Register, and enter
KC3AEN in the call sign block and 40905 in the password block and click
on "Continue"

To attach to the network, turn on your wireless network device, and pick:

     SSID: K3CAL Field Day
     Password: !QAZxsw2

(Sorry about the password, the device I'm using won't let me leave it open.)

Congratulations! You're done!

Note: When you are operating or change operators, click on the
"Operator" menu item at the top and fill in the options. That way, the
person who actually made the contact will go into the log.
