Subject: [K3CAL] FW: Maryland Combined Club Fox Hunt - Desired Dates
This was in my email this morning. I am sending it out to see if we have
people interested. Also forwarding this to CCARRC as I didn't see them on
the list.

Club Presidents/Section Leaders/Fox Hunters,
SMARC with FWARC with host a Fox Hunt this fall and want to invite as many
clubs to participate. The event will kick off from the Clinton Police
Station, 6707 Groveton Dr. Clinton, Md. The winner gets the opportunity to
host the next one where they desire.
The last Fox Hunt included participants from 4 Maryland clubs; SMARC,
Charles County, Unall{0}cated, and FWARC. It was great to meet and socialize
with the various club members from different areas. We exchanged antenna
designs, a little something about each club, and the host provided a tasty
meal. The Fox's location was amazing and deep in the woods (still accessible
by vehicle); clever!
I would like to deconflict dates of other club's events to get as many
participants as possible. This email is to gather dates that you and your
club members are free and are able to attend if desired. The following dates
are being considered, please email me if you are interested and choose one
of the dates below and we will choose the one with the most votes, thanks,
should be much fun:
October 11
October 18
October 25
November 1
November 8
November 15
I tried to include all of the area clubs but my contact pool is limited.
Please get the word out and you will need maps of (15 miles sq.) of the area
around Clinton, a vehicle, directional antennas (w/attenuator optimal), and
radios. This is a good way to fill up your training schedules for the next
couple of club meetings by showing your members how to direction find and
how to build a directional antenna. Thanks again.
