21.5  inches of 14awg wire and a ring terminal.  How simple can you get?  I'll be making one of these in the morning.   That's for 147mHz.  Just right for our repeater.

You have to go the link at www.w4ava.org  to see a great video on making a "Tiger Tail" for your handheld. You have to scroll down at the site to see the "You Tube" video. 
  
I was surprised to see what the addition to a handheld showed on the Spectrum Analyzer as shown in the video.
