[K3CAL] Boy Scouts

Nick has some excellent points...perhaps we should use his ideas for the merit badge classes and give the interested scouts the option of attending our license class following the merit badge training. This would separate the serious from the badge seekers, and make it easier on the scouts.

Does anyone have a potential head count for the scouts?

I’ve been a scoutmaster of three troops and in 2010 was in charge of the Drafting Merit Badge course at the National Jamboree. This email chain piqued my interest.

In each segment I’d switch every 10 minutes generally so you never had more than about 10 minutes of lecture and have lots of hands on.

At the end of lesson three let them each do 5 QSLs and set the receiving stations up beforehand so each would receive QSL cards right away, too. I think if you did anything close to that it would be a real home run for both the club and the scouts.
