Would this be the source then Peter from Commissioner’s Minutes of April 15, 2014 > http://calvertcounty.granicus.com/DocumentViewer.php?file=calvertcounty_4335ff3d3c50588bd742fef035fefcb0.pdf&view=1
On April 15, 2014, Calvert County Board of Commissioners, Summary of Actions >
5. Held a public hearing to receive public comment, closed the record, approved the issuance of up to $9,035,000 in general obligation bonds, and signed the related resolution
If not, then last Tuesday minutes are not yet posted. Once we read the statement it is easier to backtrack to find out exactly what our government is wanting to purchase. Of course, less $1.5M for David’s radio system.
I believe those five radio towers cost the County $1M each a decade ago. I was told recently that Cover Point or some location further north is being considered for a sixth County tower placement.

I do see a significant increase in the Calvert County Director of Public Safety or the Emergency Manager’s Budget for FY 2014 or proposed Budget for FY 2015. What was the source of this information?
Attached are portions (5 pages)of the PS & EM Budgets that shows no $10M increase.

Hi, This is a note I received this morning and I thought I should pass it on to some us involved in the Drum Point Radio Club and other emergency communication links.
I thought $10 million is a huge sum for Calvert County which we the tax payers will be paying for in the years ahead. Our county commo must be in bad shape, perhaps this includes switching the county to digital emergency commo.
Bill (XMZ) have you heard anything about this?
Peter
Calvert County 2014 budget has a $10Million deficit and last Tuesday at the meeting we attended, they approved an almost $10M bond issuance which includes $1.5 M on upgrading communications because CC sheriff communications are not up to snuff on Homeland Security requirements for communications, very critical in the LNG SAFETY.
Add to these the inability of our all-volunteer fire dept to respond per Mike Shymanski.
