Good Morning Everyone,

 

Is there is anyone associated with the Scouts in Calvert County?  

 

Bob/KB3KOW, CHAS EC, is starting to plan for the Jamboree On The Air, JOTA,
in Charles County but is asking local jurisdictions for their plans.
Normally the scouts set up their Fall Camporee on October 18-19 weekend.
Part of their program is to use ham radio to contact other scouts.  

 

This event is the primary stage of planning right now.  If ham can assist
with the JOTA please let Bob from CHAS know.  And I like to be kept in the
loop so 'cc' me in, please.  Perhaps we have a few hams that like to be
involved helping the scouts doing this time?  If there is no Fall Camporee
in Calvert County then another option is to take the scouts to MHCC to use
the equipment to make contacts from there.

 

Just a reminder to everyone, October is a busy month for us.  We have SET
2014, PRAD Parade, CF Cycle for Life events scheduled for that month. FYI >
The CF Cycle for Life event occurs on Sunday, October 19, which should not
be an issue if we plan according.
