[JRC] Here is a serious concern

I think Hector has a very good point. Some one in radio land must know
of a service person who will work on the various jrc rigs.I realize
that proprietary parts could be a problem as is the wide use of SMC
parts. I service all my own gear,to the point where I need test
equiptment that I do not have or can afford. Any jrc rig is no
different than a Icom or Yaesu ,they all use the same stuff,so service
should be around for the jrc gear... certified tech or not. I
understand the certified tech at universal Radio is no longer with
them.Is it possible he could be persuaded to resume jrc service some
how. My major problem with Jrc is lack of support in obtaining
necessary things such as service manuals and Iam sure there were
service bulletin's on the various problems and corrective measures...
every seems like a big secret... I will start to contact some of the
service guys that advertise on Qth and see what they think about
servicing Jrc gear. I will get back to the list with any Info.
Thanks to all for listening to my thoughts on the subject.

Subject: [JRC] Here is a serious concern

I would like to say something. Just reading the
comment that Bob wrote to Dale regarding the fixing of
Dale's JRC makes me feel worried on the future of the
 JRC.

I have a JST-145 working very nicely and also on mint
conditions; however, what will happen when some day it
will need to be serviced? Where would I (We) go?

A similar storyame upon the old Heath's and the Swan's
and the Drakes. Some folks just dont find service for
those rigs no more or worst than that parts for them.

I wonder if "on time" Would it be better to start
getting rid of our good machines?

Better than that I think it would be a better idea if
we all as a group start looking for service people,
places that sells parts for them or share tips on who
 service the JRC.

 What do you folks think

 Best to all

 Hector (Luigi) Perez NP4FW
