[JRC] NRD 515 RIT Mod

Hi guys -  Recently bought a used (very!) NRD515/NDH515 and matching speaker
none of which worked on arrival! Receiver way off frequency, memory unit
dead, speaker dead. Receiver now back on frequency and works well, memory
unit restored to health after removing all components and corrosion from
leaked batteries, rebuilding and replacing two memory chips, speaker voice
coil open circuit. Judging from the dust inside and the stickers, it had
been tuned to an aircraft HF frequency in a Japan Airlines Office! Now the
RIT or Delta F as they call it is far too coarse to my mind - but I have
seen a mention of a mod to this control. Any details would be gratefully
received.
