I am confirming that TRX-Manager software provides computer control  
for the JST-245.

The folks at TRX-Manager tell me the JST-245 has no S-meter data  
output so there is no scope, but it does allow for polling/changing  
frequency and mode.

The people at TRX-Manager are mistaken. The JST-245 will output the current
S-meter reading as a number with a range of 0 - 40 in response to the M
command. This is in the manual, and I have read the output using a terminal
window.
