Yes, Universal Radio still does the servicing, but I have had much
better luck just sending the boards to JRC Japan. I think that they are
selling the
JRL-3000 to Kenwood.

Universal Radio still services and provides parts for JRC-- at least
they did in January 2003.
JRC plans to make a JRL3000 amp [which can be seen on the Internet],
they are waiting on FCC approval which is expected by years end.
