[JRC] A couple questions

Hello all.
I posted the following to the NRD-525 reflector (Yahoo groups where I use a
"Juno" address to keep spam off this address) I have previously asked a
couple of these questions on this reflector, so please overlook the
"repeats" (Unless you have more info).

I have recently acquired a new (for me) NRD-525 and it is working quite well
with only one noticable "quirk", but I have some questions.

1. When first turned on in the morning (cold) it takes a little
while to "lock". In other words, the tuned in station "warbles". I
haven't yet done any troubleshooting to determine which loop is
unlocked. It is worse and takes longer to lock if the PBS is tuned
off to the side (3 'Clock) for the narrow filter. If the set is
turned off and later in the day turned back on it doesn't repeat the
problem (warmer later in the day).

2. I wish to make an "extender card" to facilitate troubleshooting
and maintenance. Anyone know what the availability, source and
description of the connectors are for both the male/female
connectors? (Location California)

3. In reading the archives, I saw where somebody inquired about the
feasability of building the RS-232 interface. As I didn't see all
the answers to this question, I'll repeat it here. is it feasable to
build the RS-232 interface? Special proprietary parts? (I have good
homebrewing skills).

4. The links I was referred to for some Filter Mods and other mods
to the NRD-525 were all dead links. Does anyone have some good links
for these files?
