Donald,
I’ve only worked on my Ranger II which has a gray front panel. The Ranger I has the very dark maroon lower half front panel. The modulator tubes are 7027’s in the Ranger II as opposed to 6L6’s in the earlier Ranger I.
I think you will find that the octal looking plug is actually an 11-pin instead of an 8-pin. So much for the tube base. Don’t forget to get the cap for the plug. They can de found on eBay as well as other antique radio dealers. I’d google that one.
A good source for capacitors and plugs is Mouser Electronics.
Hopes this gives you a little bit to get started with.
