The all-band version of the Viking II sold to the Royal Canadian Air Force was the "CC" version---"Continuous Coverage."
I have one here, & the date on the manual is 1962.
I'm sure that there'd be enough an "overlap" in the different controls---thanks in no small part to that variable inductor used in the final pi-tank---that coverage of the WARC bands could be readily achieved: have you ever tried it...? Pick the band closest to your WARC band of choice, & as long as the cap doesn't either maximize or minimize out, you may well be OK...
Of course your VFO frequency output would have to be right in the WARC band of question...! Hi Hi
