I am ready to try my worked on Viking 1 transmitter and the manual is not too specific or clear about how to connect a dow key or other antenna change over relay to transfer the antenna from receive to transmit. My Heath DX 100, DX100B and Apaches  take the 110vac leads out to an octal socket on the rear of the chassis that activate the relay when the transmit switch is activated. I am not interested in push to talk at this time because this transmitter will only be used from time to time.

Johnson manuals leave a lot to be desired in my opinion. If you have used a Viking 1 or Viking 11 how did you power the antenna change over relay on transmit. Again, I can put a pus to talk circuit in, but at present  all I want to do is use the transmit switch. Any experience out there to be shared? 73, John, K5PGW
