Mike,
Roy is right on target. Unless you find the exact match by scrounging,
Hammond is the only practical game in town if you want a new
transformer. You can search for the best Hammond XFMR prices, but I
also used AES. I went through this fire drill about a year ago with my
Viking II, and I wound up elongating a single hole in the chassis to
accommodate a slightly larger (longer) frame. The turns ratios
(impedance) are not likely to be directly in line with original, but
close. I can direct you to a reliable transformer rebuild source if
you insist on originality (I used him recently on a Collins
transformer problem), but you may not like the price.
