Hi Guys;
I just joined this group. I looked at the archives through December 2005
and did not see my problem. My Valiant has been partially converted to a
Valiant II. Some parts have been changed and some have not. The problem
is it blows the internal 1.6 Amp fuse as soon as you start to tune it up.
The manual says the power supply is 300 volts at 90 ma. I put a
milliampere meter in the output of the power supply and measure 85 ma in
standby. As soon as I advance the drive to about 3 the current goes over
100 ma and the fuse blows. I increased the fuse to 2 Amps and it still
blows. I checked the resistances and voltages against the manual and did
not find anything abnormal. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks, guys.
