There is someone producing new bolts for the Johnson equipment. I believe that he advertises in Electric Radio.
You can purchase threaded rod at home improvement centers and cut it to length. Just put a nut on the rod to hold the unit in the cabinet. You can get "fancy" and solder (or braze) the nut to the end of the threaded rod. Not quite "factory", but it is a viable solution.
I think that those bolts, along with the crystal door covers for the Heath DX-35 and DX-40, have a specific hiding place and if that location is ever discovered there will be thousands present. Or, there is the possibility that those items are actually the larvae of something else. Like socks are the larvae of wire coat hangers.

I dragged my nice Valiant 1 out of storage where it had been sealed up in plastic and in a box for some time. It is a factory assembled unit and in like new condition. I think the last time I used it was in 91' or thereabouts......anyway....like almost all of these transmitters....it is missing the 4 long cabinet bolts. What are we doing these days for these bolts or do we have to make them? Same deal on the Ranger 1 that I have....I need the long bolts for it too.
