[Johnson] Messenger II

[John Lyles]

Is the II the same as the 'black-faced' Johnson, using CB slang? 

I picked up one also at a local junk shop last summer, haven't fired it up. It is a nicely built Johnson radio, needing crystals. 
I found all the documentation online, searching for Messenger II and for the BlackFaced Johnson terms. I found the manual online also, its 
10 Mbytes, if you want me to email it direct to you. One place to look is the AM forum, do a search there and you will find discussions on it.
