Hi Larry,
Johnson discusses that in the TBolt manual. Namely using a 6dB attenuator
(swamping resistor)between the Valiant and the TBolt input. There are other
ways but that way is the easiest.

Subject: [Johnson] Thunderbolt and Valiant [bcc][faked-from]
I am thinking of getting a Thunderbolt to match my Valiant and am wondering
if anyone out there is doing the same thing? I have perused the manual and
I see the the exciter drive is only about 10 watts or so for the
thunderbolt. What is the best way to accommodate this with the Valiant?
