[Johnson] Junkston 500 users

As another 500 owner, I agree with what the others have said. It is sometimes easier to find one missing the modulator/PS chassis, as they became separated and the value is not as high in this arrangement. Mine isn't working for that reason. However, you can build your own PS and modulator, since the low level audio is built into the RF unit already. I see about one a year at most, on ebay or other venues, and they vary in cost starting about $1000. Too bad, as years ago they were almost worth nothing, and many 11 meter users got them, and boogered them up there. 

I expect to get mine running sometime, as it is a nice box, having all the tuning linked. My modulator/PS is in construction (long term project), have all the parts, for a 19 inch short rack on wheels that will sit under the RF deck, like a Collins KWS1. The audio in a 500 can be improved, similar to the other Vikings. (Esp the clipper)

Tubes, no problem, except 6B4G being a bit rare, but its available.
