Hi Art,
Oh those Junkston "500"s, might see just one or two a year for sale, at
least on any of the web sites: That's for answer #1
What price for a complete 500; that is both the RF deck & the PS/Modulator,
pray the three interconnecting cables & key are included.........maybe 3k to
3.5k for a working unit. that's answer #2.
If you are lucky enough one of these follow you home. Go through it with a
fine toothed comb. Check all resistors, replace all electrolytic caps before
plugging it in. No reason it will not run for years. I've had one on the air
since early 2005; had one 3B28 get gassy, the only tube failure. The pot
used for adjusting the audio clipping opened last year sometime. The 12AX7
toobs are pricey because of the audiofools, 6B4's are a little hard to find.
This is a real easy rig to operate, its my summertime Studio "A" rig and
lots of fun.

Two questions
1) when, if ever, do 500's become available? and
2) if they do at what price?

(also how hard is it to keep them running, getting tubes, etc???)
