[Johnson] Ranger Factory Wired Question

Rivets are indicative of a factory wired unit. These
are more "highly desired" than your kitted versions
(because of the consistency of the factory wiring).
This also may have been a purposeful move by EFJ to
distinguish the kits from the factory builts. 

Hence, be happy and rejoice! You have something that
is somewhat sought after.
