You don't really need to spend the extra money for a
"matched pair".  Johnson never sold the transmitters
with matched pairs.  There are those who say that you
definitely need matched pairs, but Collins, Heath,
Johnson, B&W, and so forth shipped new transmitters
without matched pairs and they have worked fine for
decades.
