Ah John,
What ya doin? Could this be post turkey day let down? Did you completely
rebuild the valiant? While I haven't gotten one yet, I have restored two
Pacemakers, which might be pretty close.

I remember after doing the power supply filters over (replacements) and
then firing the thing up on 80 meters to start calibrating it my rig
had stopped making signals. Upon closer inspection, I found that a
broken
resistor was the culprit. I started my search for the little bugger in
the power supply section, and finding no faults there went to the mixing
circuit for the ssb circuitry, there laying in plain sight was a broken
resistor that fed the plate volts to the circuit plate and screen. After
a cup of mud, I went back to my restoration notes to read, written in
plain english, "Change the broken plate/screen" resistor.

In my haste to see RF coming out of the thing, after finishing the full
power supply, I just plugged it in, and started doing the alignment.
Hummm, maybe I should not have had that 15th cup of coffee!

In conclusion, might I be of assistance?
